This stunningly attractive and dignified Dobergirl came to us from a shelter where she had been surrendered by an owner who was in the military and being deployed.  She was quite thin on arrival, but as usual, Mama Carol is plying her with all the good food she can reasonably have, and shortly those ribs won’t be showing any more.

She’s intelligent, alert, attentive, and responsive. She’s eager to see what her owner wants and will insist that her owner engage and interact. This is the type of Dober that needs her owner to give her a “job,” and will likely be one who responds well to training.  She also loves to play and to be made of, as well - all qualities typical of the breed.

She has quickly become a hit with our volunteers, and they’ve shared a couple observations:

“She’s a typical, playful, fun loving Doberman.  She wants your attention and seems to want to please and get a pat for reward!”

“Hazelnut is incredibly beautiful and exuberant.  She loves to play and run, and she truly longs for your undivided attention!  One of my favorite things to see is when she is out in a field, she will come up to the gate to determine if you are going to play with her.  This cutie will press and smash her nose against the gate so hard just to get as close as possible to you until you walk in to the field!  She really just has the most adorable and playful personality!”

And Mama Carol succinctly adds this:   “This Dobe is sweet.”

Her pictures and this brief profile sum things up pretty well, so if you think she may be a match for your home, make an appointment to meet her once your application is approved, and come see for yourself what a terrific girl she is.  If you do, chances are she’ll be deployed on a permanent and victorious mission to your heart.
