Bonded Pair: Poco & Porsche
Must be placed together.
Back in December we placed a Doberboy named Fosdick. He weighed 113 lbs, and in his profile I referred to him as “a hunka hunka burning love.” Well, here are not one but two hunka hunkas. She's 85 lbs. and he's 100.
These fabulous Doberkids came to us from a home where they had been together since pups. Due to circumstances beyond his control, their former owner could no longer keep them and sadly was compelled to surrender them. Now they are with us for a while as they await a new home that would love to have two large Dobers at once.
As is so often the case with our beloved breed, these two are total lovers that Mama Carol describes as “gentle giants.” Poco loves to give slurpy kisses and is cuddly teddy bear. Porsche is also a lover, and the two are an inseparable, bonded pair that must be placed together.
They've been in the same household since pups and now they're five and six years old. She is very attached and seems to take her lead from him -- if he goes somewhere, she'll follow. These two eat together, sleep together and play like best buddies.
Poco does a unique trick. If you give him the command by touching your fingertips to your shoulders, he'll jump up and hug you as well as giving you a slurpy kiss on the face! Now that’s some good stuff!
One of our volunteers shares her observations thus:
“What a fantastic and striking pair we have here! Porsche and Poco are not only beautiful, they are a lot of fun and have great personalities! They are both strong and curious on the leash at first but settle down nicely and do very well walking together. They cuddle up to sleep and must be together, as the bond they are formed is very evident. It is hard not to fall in love with these two!”
There’s more that could be said, but the real way to see what you think is to make an appointment to meet them in person once your application is approved, and come see for yourself what an overwhelmingly impressive pair these two Dobers are. Just don’t come in a Porsche (unless it’s a Cayenne) if you’re going to take them home because they’ll never fit!
