Good with other dogs.
Lady Tarheel
She arrived at DRT a very subdued Doberman. Her new surroundings left her frightened and disoriented. She was distracted and accepted the gentle directions from Carol in a rather very reserved manner. It took exactly one day to turn that around. When Carol saw her again, after a night's sleep she was overwhelmed with a joyful greeting and much jumping and joyous demonstrations. Here is a girl with a wonderful temperament and a zest for life that keeps her interested and affectionate.
She does so appreciate human companionship. You can see the puppy bubble up when she is in the presence of someone who will take a few minutes and play or just scratch an ear. The head will lean against the hand as if to capture it and prevent you from taking it away. The eyes will examine you and try to tell you how much she loves your attention. This is definitely a dog whose life will be incomplete without someone to love.
Lady Tarheel is secure around other dogs but does not like the presence of excessively assertive dogs, she is not bossy at all and prefers gentle play or even a mock battle or two as long as it is understood it is mock and will not deteriorate into something more serious.
This girl has an wonderfully unusual coat. She is known in Doberman circles as a "blue", but there is more than that. Her coat is a lustrous, healthy, deep slate color blue. She will be beautiful as she grows and her heart matches her special coloring. Inside that heart is a grand, exuberant Doberman who simply cannot be oversold.
Should your interest lead you to DRT and you find yourself in a quiet place with Lady Tarheel you will find yourself in wonderful company. She may weave a web of enthusiasm over you and you may find that your life has changed forever. It is certainly possible and what a possibility!
