Carolina
What a time, what a wonderful time to travel the valley of the shadow and, with the help of others, to find your way through that valley to welcoming arms and gentle eyes that brim with tears at imagining how difficult your journey has been so far. What a time for happy delight at being alive and able to see new mornings and feel the warmth of a March Carolina sun. What a gift to be given life when the world seemed to be getting ever more threatening. It is the very stuff of goodness and those who have helped can find satisfaction in knowing that this little girl will not go into eternity with no loving hand extended. She is safe now and appears to be ever so grateful and ever so happy.
Dumped at a shelter by her owners who bred her. She wasn't abused or neglected. But the frying pan soon became the fire because there was no room to keep her and her time was short, terribly short. DRT learned about this luckless lady and quickly volunteered its services. The luckless lady suddenly discovered that her luck had turned and that her future had turned from black to clearest (Carolina) blue. No need to worry girl, you are one of us now and if you haven’t had a friend before you surely have one now!
Despite the neglect, she is warm and sweet and absolutely loves to give kisses and be petted. She won over the waiting room at the vet’s while waiting to be examined. No shrinking flower here! She seems self confident and happy to be where she is. Carolina is what most Doberlovers hope to find. She is open, friendly, appreciative and especially loves just to be with her humans.
Her manners are absolutely first class. She accepts a bath with dignity, walks well on leash and absolutely loves riding in a car. What’s NOT to like about Carolina?
Think about it. Think about sharing your life with an animal that believes you hung the moon. Think about a companion that is intelligent and gentle. Think about the growth in human goodness that results from sharing what you have with another animal, another friend! Come on over and look into those gentle eyes. You’ll never be the same.
