She originally came to DRT by way of a rescue angel from a shelter. With us, she went through the usual regimen of vet check, heartworm treatment, etc., before being adopted by Max’s family to the benefit of all.
She has enjoyed a flourishing existence with her new family (look at that gorgeous coat and substantial size), and is now back at DRT (along with Max) due to the change in the family’s circumstances.

She knows her basic commands and also likes to play football, although in her case she is more likely to just chase the ball back and forth. She rides well in the car and is quick and agile to jump up in, even if it's an SUV. She comes when called, walks well on a leash, and is trained to an underground fence for roaming the yard.
From the pictures you can see that she loves to run and play (just look at that grin), and on all points she seems to be a happy and appreciative girl. She loves nothing better than to petted, and she's mastered the subtle-yet-effective body block when Max tries to horn in on her when she's being made of.

Recent blood work shows that Angel has a hypoactive thyroid, which would explain her ample size at the moment. With administration of a very inexpensive prescription, thyroid balance will be restored and weight should drop accordingly.
Perhaps you can help by becoming this Angel’s guardian and gaining a guardian angel in the process. You know that whatever you do to give her a loving and happy home will be more than equaled in the blessings that she brings in return.
